“Arab vs Berber”. In this Halqa prejudices are exploited and acted out. One of the two protagonists plays the Arab, the other the Berber. Many of the famous Halqas only continue to exist in the memories of the Marrakchi. With the death of a Halaiqi, the Halqa dies, too. One of them is Moulay Hmar, the Halqa of the Donkey who could perform tricks. He could smoke cigarettes, feign death and do karate.
Recently the Halqa of the Donkey was resurrected. The new Moulay Hamar teaches the donkey the same tricks as his predecessor.
